Intro

Growing Up Digital (GUD) Alberta Phase III Feasibility Study
Parent/Child Intake Survey

Overview

We are currently recruiting for the next phase of growing up digital Alberta. For this phase of research, we are looking for children between the ages of 10 and 18. In this study, we will be asking children to provide information on their digital media use (TV, music, video games, computer, Internet, cell phones, etc.). The purpose of this study is to understand how to evaluate young people’s use of media, so that future research can study what youth learn from media and look for relationships between this knowledge, their lifestyles, and their health. Participation in this study will involve and app being loaded on your child's mobile device which will send them signals at random times over the course of a week. When your child receives a signal, if they are able, they will then respond to a short survey and take a video of their surroundings. If you have a child between the ages of 10 and 18 and would like to have them participate in this study, please complete the following survey and, if selected, a researcher from the University of Alberta will contact you with additional information.
