MedCoach Bursary Application

MedCoach provides pre-medical students in Canada and the United States with comprehensive information regarding medical school admissions, physician and medical student mentors, and resources to aid in the application process, casper preparation and interview coaching. Further, MedCoach aims to serve as a vehicle for increasing diversity of physicians within the medical field and removing barriers to medical education.

To ensure the accessibility of our services to all, MedCoach is introducing a bursary program for the 2019-2020 year.

This bursary subsidizes the cost of one-on-one coaching sessions. There is limited availability.
Here you will be asked a series of questions.
Your answers will be reviewed and you may be able to qualify for a subsidized session up to 30% off.

Eligible students include those self-identifying as of the following ancestry groups: A visible minority, students residing in rural* areas, or identifying as being from Low-Income** backgrounds.

This form is confidential, and will be used only for the purposes of selecting bursary recipients. Successful applicants will be informed through email.

* Rural is defined by the Government of Canada as being small towns, villages and other populated places with less than 1,000 population according to the latest census.

** We define Low-Income, adapted from Statistics Canada, as being roughly $20,000 annual income per full-time employee per household. For example, you can apply through the Low-Income stream if your family has 2 full-time working members for a combined annual income equal to or less than $40,000.
