Medical Cannabis Education 101

Arash Taghvai, Manager of Clinical Affairs, Apollo Cannabis Clinic We will be discussing the chemical makeup of cannabis, how to obtain a medical prescription, the positives/negatives of the plant in medicine, how the cannabinoids are absorbed by your body, and what conditions/symptoms it can help patients with. The talk is useful for practicing physicians, caregivers, the general public looking for education, anyone suffering from chronic pain conditions. At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

Understand the benefits and uses of medical cannabis
Explain where to obtain a prescription
Summarize the different types of compounds in the plant
