Community Safety and Well-Being

Introduction

Niagara Region, in collaboration with local partners, is developing a plan to support community safety and well-being in Niagara. A Community Safety and Well-Being Plan is a way to work together using a community-based approach to address root causes of complex social issues.

The goal of the plan is to create a safe and healthy community where individuals and families:
  • Have access to the right services at the right time
  • Are able to meet their needs
  • Have opportunities for economic and social participation
Engaging residents, health and social service providers, businesses and educational institutions throughout the planning process is a critical piece to developing Niagara's Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.

Your input in this survey will help us identify local priorities and strategies to ensure a safe and healthy Niagara.

This survey will take about 15 minutes to complete. We'll ask you questions about your sense of safety, belonging, education, employment and perceptions on crime. By sharing your experiences and what matters to you, you can help to shape life in Niagara, determine community priorities, and indicate where you think change is needed.

Your anonymous responses will be kept confidential by grouping responses together, including by neighbourhood, and by removing any identifying information.

If you have any questions about this survey or if you would like to request a paper copy (in French or English), please contact Michelle Johnston, Project Manager.

By completing and submitting this survey, you're providing your consent for participation. Click 'Next' if you would like to continue.
