Application
The MCS Scholarship and Bursary program is designed to help students as they achieve their greatest potential while attending MCS, and after they graduate. All scholarships and bursaries are awarded at the end of each school year and are applied the following school year. All scholarships are paid directly to the institution of enrolment.

Scholarships available:
1. Continuing Christian Education Scholarship
Students in grades 9-12 may apply for an additional $1000.00 scholarship per year if they plan to attend (and do attend) a Christian Post-Secondary institution.
Criteria
· Grades 9-12 Students only
· Students may re-apply each year
· Only one CCES scholarship will be awarded each year. Serious applicants only, please.
· This scholarship will be awarded based on academic achievement, Christian witness, and excellence in attendance.
· If a qualifying student does not attend a Christian Post-secondary institution with-in two years of graduating from MCS they forfeit the scholarship.
2. Trades and Dual Credit Scholarship
Five $500 scholarships will be given out each year for students taking dual credit programs at MCS. Students have two years after graduation to claim this scholarship.
Criteria
· 1 scholarship per student, per year
· Students must have achieved a minimum of a C+ or higher average* each year above grade 9.
· Students must have excellent attendance (no more than 5 absences over the course of the school year)
· The family's account with Mountain Christian School must be in good standing
· One $1000 Trades & Dual Credit scholarship The same criteria as above, but preference will be given to those with financial need.
3. MCS Yearly Tuition Scholarship
All students from K through 11 are automatically enrolled for our yearly tuition Bursary. This bursary will cover one year’s tuition, to be applied in the next academic year. Current grade 12 students are not eligible for this scholarship.
Tuition scholarships will be granted to students at the June award ceremonies. Excellent school attendance is required ie less than 10 absent days.

4. Post-Secondary Scholarships
Each year students in grades 4 and up may apply for one of ten $250 scholarships, which will be credited toward post-secondary tuition costs once the student has graduated and has been accepted into a Canadian post-secondary institution. Students may re-apply yearly for this scholarship. Students have two years after graduation to claim this awarded scholarship.
Criteria:
· Students must be achieving high academic grades.
· Students must have excellent attendance
· In the event that more than 10 students qualify for this award, the award will be given to the highest achieving, and/or best-attending students in the group.
· This Scholarship is only redeemable once you have successfully graduated from MCS, and have been accepted into a post-secondary institution Scholarship money will be paid by MCS directly to the post-secondary institution.
· Students have two years maximum to claim their scholarship after graduating from MCS.
